Adderall makes me irritable. Is there another drug option for ADHD?

    There are several good medications for ADHD. It’s not uncommon to have to try several medications – at various doses – to find the right one for you. Talk to your prescriber about your side effects, and don’t give up trying.

    Also, know that education and counseling help can be extremely effective treatments for ADHD – sometimes in conjunction with medication, or sometimes on their own. The bottom line is this: There is no “magic bullet, 1-size fits all” treatment for ADHD. Having patience and being open to different possibilities will help you get the most out of what can be very effective treatments.
