Mehmet Oz, MD, Cardiology, answeredIf you think you have an atypical mole, show it to your doctor. It's especially important to discuss atypical moles with your doctor if you have lots of them. An atypical mole is usually tan or brown, and is generally no more than half an inch in diameter. Atypical moles have irregular shapes, unlike common moles, which are round. Your doctor can advise you on how to manage atypical moles.
