Paranoid Schizophrenia
Distorted thinking, feeling that people are after you, hearing things that others don't - these are just few symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia. It is a complex, debilitating illness that typically shows first symptoms in early adult years. You have difficulty keeping friends, jobs, feeling frightened and withdrawn much of the time. The pattern of episodes is different for every person - some have just one psychotic episode, while others have them time after time. With treatment, especially medication, it is possible to get some control over symptoms and have better quality of life.
