Stacy Wiegman, PharmD, Pharmacy, answeredYes, there are some side effects associated with melatonin and they range from mild to severe. Mild side effects of melatonin include dizziness, headaches, and daytime drowsiness. Severe side effects can include sporadic depression symptoms, tremors, discomfort, anxiety, confusion, and irritability. If you experience any of these symptoms, or if your milder side effects worsen, you should contact your doctor right away.
