Units per liter (U/L) is a form of measurement used in reporting some medical test results.
- A unit is an arbitrary amount agreed upon by scientists and doctors.
- A liter is a measure of volume that is slightly larger than a quart.
- A kilo unit (kU/L), for example, is one thousand units. Some medical tests are reported using this standard international unit (SI unit).
