answer
If you have kidney stones, drinking beverages that contain caffeine can cause problems. Caffeinated beverages may increase the risk of kidney stones, and also work as a diuretic and can cause you to lose fluids too quickly, which also increases your risk. You should drink plenty of fluids to keep your urinary tract flushed on a regular basis. Some doctors recommend drinking tea, depending on the type of kidney stone that develops in your body, although this is controversial; green tea may be preventive, while the oxalate in black tea may encourage the formation of kidney stones.
