For a healthy shopping list make sure to include different sections: one for whole wheat or other whole grain, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, whole grains cereals and oatmeal. Another for low fat milk, yogurt, and cheese. One for a variety of fruits and vegetables: apples, bananas, pineapple, strawberries, green beans, spinach, zucchini, peppers, celery and mushrooms among others. One more for lean cuts of meat such as chicken breast, turkey breast and fish. Lastly, one for spices oregano, cinnamon, ginger and red pepper.

Jeff Croswell , NASM Elite Trainer, Fitness, answeredWhat you should have when shopping for food is very easy. I always tell my clients no matter where they shop, shop the perimeter of the store. Why you ask? Well everything is on the outside of the store. On the outside you have your meats, fishes, fruits, veggies and dairy. Now all you have down the ailes of stores is processed foods which include those high fat and sugar foods. Learning how to eat smart and clean will do wonders to your body. Not to mention it will save you a lot of money on your wallet by not buying any junk you don't need.Helpful? 2 people found this helpful.
