Preventive care is limited to those services provided by your physician as part of a preventive exam. It is limited to those screenings, immunizations, and services that are necessary, at the time of the exam, to determine the status of your overall health, when you are not having any medical symptoms or current health conditions.
Medical treatment for specific health conditions, ongoing care, health screenings, lab work or other tests that are necessary to manage or treat a medical issue or condition are not preventive care.
Certain procedures may not be fully covered under some benefit plans. Check your health plan regarding your coverage of services.
