For example, extended periods of strength training can improve blood-sugar control. Cardio training helps strengthen your heart and related systems. Resistance training is any exercise that causes your muscles to contract against an external resistance or force. It increases strength, tone, mass, and/or endurance. Typically, external resistance is done with dumbbells, rubber bands or exercise tubing, your body's weight, bottles of water, rocks, or any object causing your muscles to contract. Yoga and stretching will help your body to release the toxins your body expels while you are exercising.
