  • You may not see or feel any symptoms of diabetes at first. It depends on the type of diabetes you have. For example, type 1 often brings strong symptoms that come on quickly. But type 2 happens slowly. You may not notice anything for a while.

Some common symptoms of diabetes are:
    • Tiredness
    • Unusual thirst or hunger
    • Tingling or lack of feeling in your hands and feet
    • Blurry vision
    • Frequent infections, or cuts and sores that take a long time to heal
If you have symptoms, a doctor can give you a blood test. Only a blood test can show for sure whether you have diabetes.

    • Increased thirst
    • Extreme hunger
    • Frequent urination
    • Feeling tired
    • Itchy or dry skin
    • Slow-healing cuts or sores

    • Tingling or numbness in hands or feet
