    Angina and Heart Attacks
Build up of a sticky substance called plaque in your blood vessels begins with deposits of fat as early as childhood. With increasing age, other substances including cholesterol, protein, white blood cells, and calcium are also deposited and can contribute to the build up. This animation shows how the build up of plaque can contribute to chest pain and heart attacks.
