One way to help increase your daughter’s confidence is through the use of positive feedback. Positive feedback should be given for intent, effort, growth, change, and development. The feedback should be genuine and should be attached to something personal and valued.
Another way to help increase your daughter’s confidence is to help her set realistic and attainable goals. Setting realistic and attainable goals can help her feel successful, and in turns, instill greater confidence.
You can increase your daughter's confidence by getting her involved in fitness. Talk to your daughter about good posture, specifically in her upper body. When your daughter stands with proper posture, she is able to breathe more effectively; that will relieve tension from her upper back, shoulders, and neck, and it gives her an inner feeling of “I am strong.” The more she performs an exercise routine, the more comfortable and confident she becomes in her ability. When girls successfully perform exercises with weights, they feel their inner strength and see that they are in control of their bodies. This provides your daughter with empowerment and accomplishment.
Your daughter feels belonged and confident by the way you talk to her and act toward her. She learns about how well she is doing by how you react to her behavior. Offer praise at least twice as often as you criticize (and try for four times as often).
