Health experts recommend that parents follow the American Academy of Pediatrics’ (AAP) guidelines for watching TV. According to these guidelines, children under 2 years old should not have any screen time, whether for TV, DVDs or videotapes, computers, or video games. In addition, the AAP guidelines state that kids 2 years and older should be limited to one to two hours per day or less of quality television programming.
Parents may want to limit the amount of TV that their children with ADHD watch when doing homework. This also applies to listening to the radio and playing computer games.
