I have no idea what prompted me to Google Dr. Brennan today. Probably because he saved my life and we’re in the middle of Covid-19 now. Dr. Brennan was a compassionate, brilliant man and surgeon. He oversaw my care for a pancreatic tumor for close to 5 years. He made the courageous decision not to operate (and to closely monitor me) for close to 5 years. I avoided a surgery that in and of itself could have killed me or caused lifelong complications. I asked him to make his recommendation as though I was his wife or daughter and I believe he did so. It takes a braver surgeon to not operate then the ones who say “let’s just get it out of you”.
