Why do I need a doctor if I am healthy?
Mehmet Oz, MD, Cardiology, answeredPeople who have doctors live longer, and they live better. If you don't have a doctor, it's like going into dock with a big ship without a captain on board. You end up smacking into the wall of the dock, and you cause more problems that you can't fix down the road.

How can I find out if lab tests are performed at a doctor’s office?
Some physician offices do have the capacity to do lab tests. Large medical groups, especially, may have a fully equipped and staffed clinical lab. Most physicians, however, will send their clinical lab work to outside labs that are typically better equipped, better staffed, fully accredited and independent of the physician’s control. There has always been some question about the quality of physician “in-office” labs.
